Contributing to Upskilling, Creating Employment

Workforce Development Training

Grassroot empowerment and entrepreneurship are pivotal for sustainable development. By fostering local talent and providing essential skills, we enable individuals to create and manage their own businesses. This approach not only boosts local economies but also promotes self-reliance and innovation. Our initiatives focus on training, mentorship, and access to resources, ensuring that even the most marginalized communities can thrive. By supporting micro and small enterprises, we create a ripple effect of economic growth and social upliftment, ultimately leading to a more inclusive and resilient society.

Board of Apprentice Training

In collaboration with the Board of Apprentice Training (BOAT) under the Ministry of Education, we facilitated the apprenticeship of over 3,500 graduates in the fiscal year 2023-2024. This year, we aim to cover more than 7,000 graduates. Our major contribution lies in including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to bring inclusivity to the apprenticeship process, which has been largely focused on large manufacturing establishments. This inclusion requires creating a sustainable ecosystem, which we are co-creating with several delivery partners to ensure long-term success and impact.

Basic Training Partner With NAPS

Since 2020, we have implemented a train-and-deploy model specifically designed for the unskilled workforce. Within this framework, Banyan Edu Services, a registered Basic Training Provider (BTP1922131), offers comprehensive training programs for unskilled workers at our Industry Partnered Centres, facilitating their seamless integration into the industry as apprentices. Typically, the industry covers the training costs through its Corporate Social Responsibility budget. Over the years, we have successfully trained approximately 4,000 workers through this model, with a primary focus on the automobile sector.

Capacity Development

We focus on enhancing organizational capacity through skill development and entrepreneurship. Our projects include retraining Air India staff post-Tata acquisition and building capacity for Tibetan winter garment entrepreneurs. Over six months, we trained 600 Air India employees in digital literacy. Additionally, we reached over 700 Tibetan traders, teaching fundamental management concepts to boost profitability. Both initiatives, conducted across India, demonstrate our ability to mobilize training at affordable costs, emphasizing our commitment to skill enhancement and entrepreneurship.
